Gagnon currently has two electrophysiology laboratories where diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional electrophysiology-based procedures are performed. The procedures include electrophysiology studies, pacemaker and internal cardiac defibrillator implantation, arrhythmia mapping, and radiofrequency ablation therapy. A third laboratory is needed to meet the growing needs of the electrophysiology department and accommodate an increased volume of patients at Gagnon.
